Date nights are still important even when you are trying to cut expenses. There are many ways to enjoy spending time with your spouse, having cheap date nights without breaking the bank.
Remember though, these date nights are treats and they aren’t to be abused. Keeping that in mind I’ve put together 5 Tips on making date nights affordable.
1.) Groupon is a great way to save. For example I’ve been dying to take my husband out for Swish Japanese Hot Pot. I’ll search in to find their restaurants discounts. If they don’t have a current deal I can always request a deal.
2.) Check the company’s website and see if they have online coupons or deals. You can also sign up for their emails. Most places will send you coupons and notify you of specials.
3.) When eating out share dinner and avoid beverages. Drinks are expensive when eating out. On average, you’ll pay $3.00 per beverage. Water is free! Order water… If you really hate water, order it with lemon, add some sugar and you’ve just made yourself a free lemonade!
4.) Entertain books are also a great way to save money. The only problem I see is most people don’t plan ahead to use these. They leave them at home, so leave it in the car instead.
5.) If you have kids, avoid paying for a babysitter. Make arrangements with a neighbor or friend and swap babysitting
