Egg Casserole with Hashbrowns and Sausage

Egg Casserole are one of our weekend life saver dishes.   This is the perfect dish for the mornings too. With this recipe, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up a lot of dishes or serving it with a bunch of sides.   Plus you can make it the night before, throw it in the oven while you’re opening up presents and breakfast is ready in now time.

egg casserole

This is my go-to casserole, I especially love making my Egg Casserole Recipe on Sundays.  Sunday is a really busy day for us, especially in the morning, when we are trying to get the kids ready for church.  It seems that we are often running out the door and I don’t have time to feed my kids a warm breakfast.  This is the perfect dish.  I can throw this together and by the time we are all showered and dressed, our breakfast will be ready.

Homemade Easter Basket Ideas {Under $10}

Easter Baskets, don’t have to be expensive and full of junk.  By thinking outside the box you can create some wonderful and fun Homemade Easter Baskets Ideas.

A few years ago, I challenged myself to make my children’s Easter baskets for less than $10.00 with “useful” items.  I did this because I didn’t like the way those cheap baskets under $10.00 looked at the store.  Most of these items I found within the dollar section or dollar store.  Since I was filling several baskets while I was at the store I looked for items that had multiple things I could split up.

The items in the Homemade Toddler Easter Basket are:  Disney Paint Book, Bible Coloring Book, Bat/Ball, 2 mini Sesame Street Books, Sidewalk Chalk, Crayons, Bubbles, Memory Card Game, Giant Lollipop, Gummy Lifesavers and 3 eggs with candy.

The Homemade Teen Easter Basket was a beauty basket.  Enclosed is a bath pillow, foot massager, hair turby towel, body scrubber, sleep mask, face scrubber, giant lollipop, gummy life savers, and 3 eggs filled with candy.

Rather than wasting money on cellophane wrap, I used clear garbage bags instead to wrap their baskets.

Overall I spent $36.00 for all 4 baskets.  I didn’t put that much candy in their baskets because the Easter bunny hides eggs at our house and those are already filled with candy.  I’d love to hear you ways you save on making Homemade Easter Baskets Ideas.

How to Tell if an Egg Is Good or Bad

How to tell if an egg is good or bad is pretty easy.  All you need is water to check and with one simple technique you can easily tell if your egg is good or bad.
How to Tell if An Egg is Good or Bad

I buy a lot of eggs.  Usually I’m grabbing about 5 dozen at a time or if I find a sale I’ll stock up and buy even more.  We don’t always go through our eggs quick enough.  Some months are quicker than others.  But since we buy so many at a time I want to ensure I’m always using a good egg.
