Ingredients you’ll need:
Cake Mix
Frosting
Candy Melts
Lollipop Sticks
Directions: Bake a cake… anyone of your choice.. Choose a frosting or make your own.
Now that you have your cake baked and cooled, get a bowl and shred the cake into tiny little pieces.
Now add about 1/2 to 3/4 of frosting to your shredded cake mix. Mix together until you get a consistency of play-dough like.
I used a cookie scoop and scooped out the mix and rolled each into a ball shape. Now lay it on wax paper or foil, lightly greased.
Melt – Candy Melts according to directions on the package. If using lollipop sticks dip sticks into melt and place in center of ball.
Now place in freezer for 10-15 mins. This will be easier to dip the cake ball into the candy. Use a spoon to fill sides and swirl to remove excess candy. Add sprinkles immediately before candy hardens.
Insert sticks into styrofoam to stand cake pops up to fully dry.
And that’s it! This costs around $8.50 to make. However, I went to Michaels and used a few coupons bringing my total down to around $5.00 and made about 50 pops.
