I jut got finished repurposing my dining room set. Now that’s all done, I wanted to make some cute no sew placemats. Our dining room set now has a shabby chic look. I wanted to add some table decor and the first thing that came to mind was burlap material.
No Sew Placemats
To make 6 placemats you’ll need 1 yard of burlap material. As long as the width of the burlap material is 48″ wide.
Burlap Material
Next divide your burlap material into 3 sections. Each section should be able 12 inches.
Next cut the material at the crease.
On this next step you won’t even have to get out your sewing machine. These no sew burlap placemats only require you to fray the edges.
Using word doc, print out desired font. I chose Blessed, Cherish, Love, Inspire, Faith and Hope.
Lay the word underneath the burlap material and using a sharpie and trace over the word.
and that’s it! These no sew burlap placements were cheap placemats to make. Overall I spent $2.39 before tax to make these placemats.
I loved how they turned out. I use them as table decor. It’s the perfect decor to change up and personalize. For $0.40 a placemat you can’t really beat that!
