Pumpkin Crumb Cake is one of my favorite pumpkin desserts. Fall is almost here and I’ve got pumpkin on my mind and I can’t wait to make my Pumpkin Crumb Cake with Caramel Topping.
This dessert is easy to make too. If you love coffee cake, then you will love this pumpkin crumb cake recipe.
Pumpkin Crumb Cake with Caramel Topping
Ingredients
- Cake ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tbsp of cinnamon
- 1 tsp of ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1, 15oz can of pumpkin
- Crumb Topping:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cup of flour
- Caramel Topping:
- Use store bought Caramel Topping
- or make a homemade version by visiting my friend Camille's Homemade Caramel Sauce recipe
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl combine the following cake ingredients butter and sugar and mix ingredients until light and fully. Add in eggs, vanilla and pumpkin and continue mixing until all ingredients are blended together. Now stir in the dry ingredients flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt, continue stirring until all ingredients are blended together.
- Pour into a 9x13 baking dish and add crumb topping.
- Crumb Topping: In a medium bowl add sugars, pumpkin pie spice, salt and butter. (butter should fully melted) Add flour and stir until you get a crumbly dough.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until center comes out clean
- Let cool for 10-15 minutes and drizzle with Caramel Topping
