Being a one income family prevents us for doing a lot of fun filled activities. We tend to put things on the back burner and the next thing you know we’re getting ready to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and we’ve never taken any anniversary trips.
Our lack of money has definitely influenced our decisions on what we do. Throughout the years, we’ve only taken day trips that will fit into our budget. After realizing we did nothing to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary my husband and I decided to make a few changes and schedule an anniversary trip. We are going on a cruise to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary.
Scheduling this trip required us to make a few changes to our budget. We set up an automatic withdrawal and treated it as if it were a bill we had to pay. By doing this, we no longer focused on what we had to save. We were now focused on spending less on everything else we did. We spent less on groceries, eating out and saying no to unnecessary purchases.

Setting this goal has really motivated us. In fact so much that I’ve created a bucket list to tackle too of all the things we wish we could to do before our 25th wedding anniversary.
