As a stay at home mom, living on one income is hard. I often find myself doing without because I feel guilty spending things on myself. Especially when it comes to things I find luxuries. For example, pedicures, moms night out and lunch with friends etc. That was until….
I realized how much I need those things. You need it too. We all need time away from our families..
It doesn’t have to be much time, but make the time. Put it in the budget and just do it.
Living in Las Vegas we definitely have some luxuries. But what I’ve found is that when I do a stay-cation I’m more tempted to go home, check on the kids, and be guilted into coming home early. As crazy as it sounds, it’s hard to unwind when I’m so close to the kids. A road trip was the answer.
We needed to find a place close, but yet far enough away. Casablana Hotel and Spa in Mesquite Nevada graciously hosted us and was just the answer for a girls weekend. It really was the perfect little getaway town to hide to. It’s only an hour and a half away from Las Vegas and not too far from St. George, Utah either.
I do have to mention that Casablanca Hotel is a bit outdated. They are in process of renovating their hotel. They’ve already replaced the mattresses and the TV. But don’t let that discourage you. The rooms were clean and cheap. Making it perfect for a budget friendly vacation.
From just $79.00 you can take advantage of their Hotel and Spa getaway. Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 11am so if you are planning on doing a spa treatment reserve your hotel for two days. That way you can really take advantage of it. Once you check into the spa, you can enjoy the private pool and steam room for the day.
This was my first spa experience. I got my first facial. All I have to say is 55 minutes of heaven and a glowing face.
They use some wonderful products too such as Farm Fresh, Eminence and more..
Before and after our spa experience we enjoyed the resort pool then had dinner in the hotel restaurants.
The food in Katherines Steakhouse was amazing. You’ve gotta try them while your there!
My girls trip with my dear friend was just what I needed. This summer has been exhausting with entertaining the kids. I needed time to refresh. Plus it gave my husband and my kids just enough time to miss me and me them. I’m a happier mom for it and I’m ready to tackle the school year.
So Ladies, take my advice grab another mom and start planning your next getaway!
